According to a source who spoke to Sam Amick of The Athletic, neither Joel Embiid nor his agents have indicated to the Philadelphia 76ers’ front office that they are interested in a trade. As elite athletes increasingly control their narrative, the 7′ 0″ star has distinguished himself as one of the few stars because he has reportedly expressed a desire to remain in Philadelphia, or so we thought.
As, recently Embiid was candid about the prospect of joining another team in his pursuit of a championship.
Embiid’s Cryptic Remark Fuels Speculation About His Future
This information was released in response to Embiid’s remarks on his pursuit of a championship. The six-time NBA All-Stars said in an interview that his only goal is to win the championship, and he will go wherever to get it, “I just want to win a championship,” Embiid stated.

It’s difficult to avoid thinking about his future with the Sixers in light of his remarks. The team has been striving to provide Joel Embiid with adequate assistance for the past seven seasons, but it hasn’t worked out effectively.

This offseason, trade speculations surrounding Joel “The Process” Embiid picked more steam, with the New York Knicks emerging as the favorite to sign the talented center. The NBA Most Valuable Player of 2023, though, wants a career similar to Dirk Nowitzki, who spent his whole NBA career playing for one team.
According to a senior Sixers source, S. Amick of The Athletic reported that neither Embiid nor his agents had provided the team with any such correspondence. “In fact, the organization’s belief remains that Embiid would love to go the way of Dirk Nowitzki or Kobe Bryant and stay with one team for his entire career.” He declared.
Like Dirk Nowitzki with the Dallas Mavericks and Kobe Bryant with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Philadelphia 76ers believe that Embiid wants to play his entire career for them. Clubs certainly are keeping a keen eye on Joel Embiid and his probable availability as the Sixers deal with James Harden’s delicate predicament following his desire for a trade.
