Escape from Tarkov has finally released an unranked mode for its Arena map. Battlestate Games announced it as part of the 0.1.5.1 update. Tarkov, known for its difficulty and intense campaign, offers a unique take on the first-person shooter genre by removing maps and HUDs from its interface.
The Arena mode, released last year, features iconic locations from the map such as the Sawmill or Chop Shop. The unranked mode will allow players to casually enjoy the title and have fun playing group matches with friends.
Escape From Tarkov: Arena latest update adds unranked mode
The latest unranked mode will challenge the players with its iconic difficulty and fast-paced reflexes, without the presence of ARP. Additionally, players have no restriction in selecting the presets as the opponent team, testing the skills of both teams.
There will be two popular modes available in Unranked: TeamFight and ShootOut. These modes can accommodate a total of 4 and 6 players, respectively, divided into two groups. Although players cannot earn ARP points, cash rewards will be available, allowing them to purchase in-game items from the shop.
Several changes have been made to friendly fire rules. Now, players will be removed from a match if they kill allies four times, with the penalty for warnings reduced from 4 to 3. Players who commit the same offense twice will be blocked for 30 minutes before being allowed to rejoin. The developer appears to have reinforced the friendly fire rules with the release of this patch.
Matchmaking will be faster due to a reduced countdown timer. The preset purchase now grants players 45 seconds, while the match acceptance time decreases to 25 seconds. Additionally, in-game sounds have been adjusted. The minimum volume is now set at 30% of the overall volume, with radios receiving a volume boost and turn-on-and-off sounds being reduced.
How to purchase Escape From Tarkov clothes with real money?
Escape from Tarkov has also brought microtransactions for the first time. Players can buy three tiers of clothes for their characters right now. Both bears and USECs get separate cosmetic items ranging from 5 to 12 euros.
To buy the outfits, first log in to your account on the Tarkov website. Head over to the Expansions section, where you will find the different groups of items. Make a selection and check out. The next time you run Tarkov, the items will be unlocked for you.
According to Battlestate Games, items you purchase should remain in your account forever. This is something gamers will appreciate nonetheless.
