The San Francisco 49ers are going through a rough patch with a probable collapse in their defense line. With the most recent injury to DE Nick Bosa, the team has three of their top defensive linemen out for the game. Javon Kinlaw (knee) and Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) were previously absent for Week 5 due to injuries.
The Defensive End was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Panthers early in the first half. During the first series of the second half, he left the field and was examined by trainers. A short while later, he was ruled out with a groin injury. Niners will have to carry on without their 24-year-old DE for the rest of the game, Eric Branch confirmed on twitter.

There has not been any update on the severity of this injury for us to determine how far this could affect the DE and his team. Bosa’s return to the field still remains uncertain. He played the whole 2021 season after injuring his ACL in Week 2 of the 2020 season and missing the entire year. That is the only significant injury the star has ever endured.
Eight 49ers, including running back Elijah Mitchell, quarterback Trey Lance, linebacker Azeem Al-Shaair, and defensive end Jordan Willis, are presently on injured reserve. The severity of Bosa’s injury might have a great impact on the 49ers’ defensive scene moving forward. The Niners will face the Falcons next week and the Chiefs the following week in a rematch of Super Bowl 54.
The team and the fans hope that Bosa’s groin injury is not serious and that he will have a speedy recovery. Clearly, the 49ers are not in a state where they can afford to keep him off the field for an indefinite time.
