Hunter Mims, better known as SicK, is an American player essentially known for his magnificent achievements in Valorant. Currently, he is on the inactive roster of the Sentinels but his aggressive duelling style has resulted in numerous wins at tournaments and competitions. He last played on December 5, 2022, against Team Subroza.
SicK helped his team, the Sentinels, clinch their first major international victory at the VCT Masters 2021. But over a period of time, he has behaved unnaturally, which eventually led to his isolation. He has recently come out again from his transient hibernation.
Why was SicK arrested?
SicK’s behaviour first made the news on March 4, 2023, when he got arrested for criminal trespassing. He failed to leave a Ferrari dealership despite getting instructions to vacate the premises, resulting in a Class B misdemeanour charge. This led to his suspension from the Sentinels Valorant roster.
His second arrest happened on May 8, 2023, just two months after his first one, for the same reason of criminal trespassing, as was confirmed by Dot Esports via Collin County’s judicial records.
G2’s ShahZaM reached out to the fans on Twitter, asking them to ignore his tweets and behaviour. “I promise this isn’t who he is,” he added. Several of his other teammates had also tweeted to request the fan the same thing, saying that SicK is not who he has been before and is going through a rough patch.
SicK provides update after six-months of isolation
SicK was in a complete isolation for past 6 months after getting released from the jail. He didn’t contact anyone, there were no substantial update about his condition and situation.
On 7th January 2024, he recently reached out to his fans on twitter updating about his condition and his final break from his 6 months’ isolation. “This was my routine never left the house and didn’t speak to anyone. An ideal way to drive yourself insane.” he wrote.
“Alright while I thought I was going to die I was rushed to the hospital and everything seems fine now. Sorry for the scare but this just made me so much more grateful to be alive. I will be making my return to Valorant soon! Let this be a message don’t try to S you will regret it”, he added.
SicK has showed a pattern of mental illness for a while which he even revealed in his tweet. He wasn’t his true reflection and wanted an excuse by his fans for all his recent past’s actions and behaviour.
