With the Valorant Champions Tour 2024 coming around, the journey to making the roster for the Chinese teams has been nothing but surprising. The tour is all set to begin on February 22, 2024 and while the fans await its beginning, their favourite, RB, has given the news.
In 2020, professional Valorant player RB transitioned from Counter-Strike, joining the Vision Strikers. Their remarkable 104-game win streak in Korea earned them the First Strike and 2021 VCT Masters I Korea titles. Eventually, RB settled with DRX and has lasted for three years with them until now.
RB joins Titan eSports Club
Korean sensation Goo “RB” Sang-min has embarked on a new journey with Titan Esports Club (TEC) in the VCT CN League, as per their announcement.
The announcement read: “We’re pleased to announce that RB has officially joined TEC Valorant, let’s welcome RB! We all look forward to having him, a professional top player, as a member of our team to spark off more wonderful performances as we embrace the future challenges together!”
TEC’s latest signings, including RB, have set the stage for the upcoming season alongside head coach Liu “3water” Miao. The move confirms earlier reports of RB’s entry into the Chinese region. TEC’s announcement expresses excitement for RB’s addition, acknowledging his prowess as a professional player.
The 22-year-old departed DRX after struggling in international competitions. TEC now prepares for the KICK//OFF VCT CN event, eyeing spots at VALORANT Masters Madrid. However, details about TEC’s active roster remain undisclosed.
Fans react to Titan eSports Club announcing RB
Although being a part of DRX for three years has given the team a lot of wins, RB’s departure from the org. has raised concerns. But what is someone’s loss is another’s gain. While everyone is startled to hear this big news given by RB, everyone is also reacting vividly on many online platforms.
Fans went on to express on Twitter: “Wow what a surprise @Rbvlrt congrats bro”. Thus they have congratulated the professional for his journey ahead, while others have expressed their congratulations to the team “GREAT PICKUP”.
Even though the roster still remains uncertain, it’d be interesting to see what the TEC roster will have to offer in the coming VCT CN kickoff.
