Valorant Sovereign 2.0: Possible release date, skins, price, and more for upcoming bundle

Valorant players are excited that their new toys are coming soon and they might not have to wait long, as whispers of a Valorant Sovereign skinline sequel have emerged alongside the launch of Episode 8 Act 2. While the recently released Primordium bundle was another newly released item in the in-game store, we don’t have to wait for a season to get a newly launched collection.

However, details say that the release date hasn’t been finalised yet. As no official posters are leaked and the skins are believed to be from the current game files, pinpointing a release date would be tricky. This likely places the bundle’s arrival with the next update, tentatively scheduled for March 26th or 27th following the conclusion of VCT Masters Madrid 2024, barring any unforeseen minor updates.

What to expect from the Valorant Sovereign 2.0 bundle?

Valorant players should approach recent leaks regarding a “Sovereign 2.0” bundle with cautious optimism. While leaks in the game often prove accurate, they remain unconfirmed until officially revealed before Episode 8 Act 2.

What to expect from the Valorant Sovereign 2.0 bundle?

The bundle is expected to include weapon skins for the Phantom, Odin, Judge, Frenzy, and a melee weapon. Additionally, similar to the original Sovereign bundle, a Player Card, Spray, and Gun Buddy might be included. These additional items could potentially come with purchaseable colour variants and effect upgrades using Radianite.

When it comes to pricing, expect a hefty price tag considering the anticipated volume of content. The original Sovereign bundle came in at 7,100 Valorant Points (VP), and Sovereign 2.0 is likely to cost around the same, if not more. While unconfirmed, Riot Games may even adjust the price upwards based on perceived value and potential quality improvements to the skins.

What is the difference between Sovereign and Forsaken skins?

Sovereign and Forsaken are two separate bundles; Sovereign was released last year and Forsaken is upcoming. Forsaken has a colour scheme variant that looks like the sovereign skins with its finisher. There is no new sovereign bundle. It is a new bundle with its own effects and finisher animation. What makes this one unique is the fact that the variant changes both the colour scheme and finisher animation to match the original sovereign set.

The Forsaken Pack unlocks access to a significant weapon, offering over 20 exotic weapons and 15 exotic armour pieces. Additionally, upon purchasing the pack, you’ll gain three Forsaken ciphers located within the Forsaken section of the Monument of Lost Lights Exotic Archive in the Tower. These ciphers can be used to directly acquire any Forsaken exotic weapon from the archive, allowing you to fill gaps in your collection or obtain specific desired weapons.

The Valorant Sovereign collection, released in June 2020 alongside patch 1.01, boasts a regal aesthetic. Its signature look is an elegant blend of white and gold, offering a touch of the ethereal. The collection includes a knife featuring unlockable blue and glowing visual effects. Each gun within the set comes with a variant that flips the colour scheme, offering players the option to choose between the classic white and gold, an elfin-inspired gold design, or even more sinister options like purple and silver, all unlockable through Radianite points.

The Valorant Sovereign Skyline sequel has emerged alongside the launch of Episode 8 Act 2. So, as per rumors, what is your call on this? Tell us in the comment section.
