The new season for 2024’s Valorant Champions Tour has begun, with American and Pacific kickoffs starting on February 17. This year, Riot has raised the stakes even higher, with 44 teams competing for ultimate glory.
As teased earlier, Team Capsules are finally arriving at Valorant this year. Different Team Capsules from all the teams are now available for purchase, and now the release date for the team bundles for VCT 2024 has been revealed.
VCT 2024 Team Capsules release date, roadmap and more
Multiple sources on Twitter have revealed that the Valorant Team Capsule will be available to purchase starting on February 21. The bundles will be available on the Esports Hub, where you can buy them directly.
Riot has also revealed the upcoming road map for this year’s championship. There will be two International League and Masters stages for the 44 competing teams from four different regions to battle it out. The best teams qualified for the finals will battle it out in the flagship championship event taking place in Seoul later this year.
Los Angeles hosted the finals of the Valorant Championship last year. Evil Geniuses were crowned the VCT 2023 champion, beating Paper Rex with a score of 3-1.
VCT 2024 Team Capsules customized skins, features and items
For the uninitiated, Team Capsules are customized cosmetic in-game items that players can buy to support their favorite team in the Valorant World Championship. As part of the bundle, players get a classic pistol, a gun buddy, spray, and a player card. All items will contain the respective team’s logo, marking your allegiance to your favorite team.
This year’s pricing for the Team Capsules is yet to be announced. Last year, you could have your Team Bundle for 5400 VP. Expect the bundles to be priced similarly this year too. We will update the latest price as soon as it is announced.
Each team will get a 50% revenue share for each sale of a Team Capsule. That is great news, as players worldwide will have an opportunity to support the participating teams throughout VCT 2024.
Last year, Riot shared over 33 million dollars from the sales of Team Skins. This amount will surely increase this year as there are more teams this season, each having their own custom bundle.
