Veronica Macedo is set to break her 3-year hiatus to take on the winner of the TUF Season 30, Juliana Miller. Miller was talking with Xaria Bloom on the Outside the Box Podcast where she announced the fight. Macedo currently has 6 wins and 4 losses. Sadly she has struggled with maintaining consistent performance. Miller, on the other hand, has secured 3 wins and 1 loss with an impressive amateur record of an undefeated 6-fight win streak.
Macedo made her UFC debut back in 2016 in a low preparation time bout against Ashlee Evans-Smith. Veronica holds prowess in almost all areas of fighting. A former MMA factory trainee, some of her notable fights in flyweight were against Gillian Robertson and Andrea Lee.
Juliana Miller on the other hand will finally make her UFC debut after her performance at TUF. The last time she fought, she picked up a TOK win against Brogan Walker with a dominating show utilizing her ground and pound during the end rounds. She has clever grappling skills and experience to match what she gathered from participating in different grappling tournaments.
How is UFC 286 shaping up?
UFC 286 will feature a highly anticipated trilogy fight between Kamaru Usman and Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards. Kamaru took the first fight home and Edwards managed to pick up the win in the second match via a brutal last-minute head kick KO. This trilogy fight should answer many of the unanswered questions that fans have.
Dana White talked about this fight in a post-fight press conference, Earlier the UFC president claimed, “You think of everything that was on the line for Usman tonight, and Usman fought with absolute and total confidence all night. He fought the perfect fight. Might not be the most fan-friendly style, but he was landing big shots to the body, big shots to the head, and elbows. Couldn’t have fought a more perfect fight until the last minute.”
UFC 286 is currently scheduled for March 2023.
