Veteran LB Sione Takitaki’s Wife Says She Is “Essentially Homeless” During Free Agency

Sione Takitaki played for the Cleveland Browns for five seasons before joining the Patriots for one season. Now, he’s a free agent after the Patriots released him in February 2025.

So, Sione is looking for a new team to play for the upcoming season, but no one knows where he will land. This situation has made his wife, Alyssa Takitaki, feel like they are “homeless.”

Alyssa Takitaki shared her family’s struggles in a TikTok video on March 10. She talked about how tough it’s been since Sione was released by the New England Patriots on February 19, 2025.

Alyssa said they feel “essentially homeless” because they don’t know where they’ll live next. In the video, she said, “I don’t know where I’m going to live! We’re essentially homeless… for now,” which quickly became popular.

Sione Takitaki, a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, has played in 83 games with 40 starts, getting 258 tackles, four sacks, and two interceptions. However, his future in the NFL is uncertain, as no teams have shown interest in signing him for the upcoming season.

Sione Takitaki’s wife still remains strong

With her husband’s uncertain free agency status, it’s understandable why Alyssa is feeling stressed. As a family member, it’s hard for her to handle. However, Alyssa stays hopeful and supports her family.

She shared how free agency brings little stability. “You think you’re going somewhere, and then last minute… you’re actually going over here,” she said, remembering the time when Sione Takitaki was drafted.

Despite the stress, Alyssa stays positive. “I physically have to like slap myself when I start looking for homes or rentals on Zillow.” she joked. Sione Takitaki is preparing for his seventh NFL season. We hope he will sign a contract that reflects his worth.
