Before next week’s election, NBA star LeBron James joined other celebrities in endorsing Democratic contender Kamala Harris for president on Thursday. James, who’s pretty vocal about his thoughts on former president Donald Trump, shared a heartfelt video on social media stressing why it’s important to vote for Kamala Harris.
It was clear how important this election is to him when he said he chose for his family and children’s future. He said, “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS.”
The video has already reached 13 million views and includes clips of former President Donald Trump’s divisive comments about immigrants and communities of color. LeBron James’ endorsement is part of a broader effort by celebrities to support Harris, with other high-profile endorsements coming from Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Lopez.
Steph Curry also supports Kamala Harris in presidential race
NBA star Steph Curry also supports Vice President Kamala Harris for president. He is backing her after President Joe Biden decided not to run for re-election and chose Harris as the Democratic nominee.
Curry, who has been friends with Harris for a long time, was excited during a press conference at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He said, “Interesting times in our country right now. Hopefully, with her on the ticket, we’re winning the election. It’s a big deal.”
At the NBA media day, he added, “Supporting her is an honor, a sophisticated leader that I expect and have confidence she can lead our country and provide hope, inspiration, and unity.”
