Valorant Master Tokyo 2023, held from from 11th to 25th June in Tokyo, the nation full of talents was a battlefield of race for glory. The best teams across the world played head-to-head to win the $1,000,000 USD but the legendary Fnatic brought it up to their home, making history by winning back-to-back international valorant titles.

While the battle for the biggest tournament was at full pace, there were many preparations and discussions to practice, pray and pledge behind the screen. One such news has recently surfaced on social media platforms, posted by the official Valorant Champions Tour Twitter account.

Aleczon’s advice to CigaretteS

Aleczon, Alexandra Alecks Salle, is a French professional valiant coach for the Paper Rex who managed to bring his team to third place in the Magnificent Tournament of 2023.

In tournaments like this, it’s not just the roster that puts in efforts to win the title; coaches also happen to be an integral part of it. Alexandra stated, after winning the semifinal against Edward Gaming, that he sacrificed his sleep daily, waking up at 6 a.m. to review VODs at Masters Tokyo.

In a clip posted by Valorant Champions Tour, Alexandra is seen giving advice to CigaretteS behind the stage during the Valorant Masters Tournament Tokyo 2023. Patiphan Posri, CigaretteS, was one of the six players on Team PRX. He replaced something due to his Visa issues.

“The more you let yourself just play, help a little bit, you’ll be okay, You know”. Alexandra was seen advising the player in the video. He even followed to express “Win, win, Lose, lose. Never mind!”.

Alexandra is known to create a healthy environment to his players as a coach. He’s philosophical and believes the team to be a family. “I speak for Paper Rex here: we try to make sure the players are understood and heard, and they’re valued,” he said in an interview with ONE Esports.

Paper Rex’s performance in Valorant Tokyo 2023

Paper Rex is an underdog who rose from the slums to gain much popularity in recent years. They have a VCT Pacific Championship title to their name, multiple first-place finishes in the VCT league and the top 3 positions at Masters Copenhagen and Masters Tokyo.

In the recent Valorant Masters Tokyo 2023, they showed immense potential and fought back bravely against some of the most experienced teams of the world.

Paper Rex was prepared to go full throttle in the Valorant Masters 2023 but they had a huge setback. Something’s VISA issue gave a significant blow to the team’s aspirations. The situation caused the team to move back to their duelist position and equip their third stand-in CigaretteS. Although he was an inexperienced competitive Valorant player, the Thai player emerged as the highlight of the playoffs myriad times.

After all the obstacles, Paper Rex managed to play against teams like Evil Genuises and Fnatic. They gave a big blow to all their critics by bagging a 3rd-place finish in the tournament. Moreover, according to the reports, their capital generated from their wins has propelled them to the third position among the top five highest-earning Valorant teams.

We all await their performance in the next tournament; they promise a lot of potential, thus making them a winnable team.
