Some fans speculated that Josh Allen’s mention of Taylor Swift might be related to the NFL’s spotlight on Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. However, some fans debated whether he said “J.R. Smith,” who is a former NBA player, instead. The audio was open to interpretation.

When fans watched the clip they could hear Allen calling Taylor Swift. But after the game, Josh Allen clarified that he had said “J.R. Smith” when changing the play at the line of scrimmage. Even if he was calling J.R. Smith, the NFL world has become so obsessed with Taylor Swift that they end up dragging her name in every game even if Travis Kelce is not present there.

NFL fans thrilled with old Josh Allen tweets

Some old tweets by Josh Allen resurfaced, which were posted when he was young. These tweets included inappropriate and racist content, including the use of racial slurs.

As these tweets resurfaced, fans were shocked to know this side of the quarterback. They expressed their hatred for the QB on Twitter with one fan writing, “Thank god Twitter wasn’t around when I was a kid,” emphasizing how a player’s past activities on social media can destroy their present image no matter how successful they are.

Fans called out the QB for his audacity to write such inappropriate things at this young age. “Josh Allen is wild,” one fan wrote.

One fan even claimed that Josh Allen should be held accountable for his actions, “Omg he needs to be cancelled I’m so offended”

Back in 2018, Josh Allen had apologized for these tweets. He acknowledged his actions but also apologized.

“I hope you know and others know I’m not the type of person I was at 14 and 15 that I tweeted so recklessly. … I don’t want that to be the impression of who I am because that is not me. I apologize for what I did,” the QB said.

He expressed remorse for his actions as a young teenager, emphasizing that he had grown and changed since then and that he didn’t want those tweets to define his character. Everyone has a past and these inappropriate tweets are also just a part of Josh Allen’s past. He has grown out of it and is today known as one of the elite athletes in the sports world.
