Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted at the UFC 285 weigh-in session filming a sequence for his upcoming movie in which he knocked out MMA veteran Jay Hieron.

Versatile Hollywood actor Gyllenhaal is currently linked with many fighters from the UFC for a remake of the 1989 movie Road House. According to movie enthusiasts, Road House was a cult classic, and the remake needs to be darn good to grab the attention of the cinemagoers.

Movie makers have already confirmed the inclusion of a few real-life MMA fighters in the remake. Earlier, the Irish UFC superstar Conor McGregor was seen on the film’s set, confirming his presence in the movie. The Notorious, who is currently contracted with The Ultimate Fighter to shoot their upcoming season, will be making his acting debut with this film.

However, in yesterday’s shooting scene where Gyllenhaal appeared in the UFC 285 weigh-in session, Conor had no part to play. Jake and the other members of the crew did the shoot in front of the UFC audience to make the scene look real.

What is the major difference between the classic and the remake of Jake Gyllenhaal?

The remake version will be slightly different from the original one, as the new one will have a UFC fighter playing the lead. Jake will be playing a middleweight fighter who goes to war with a powerful and evil businessman.

Moreover, In a sequence where Jake has to fight for a title fight, it will feature Jay Hieron as his octagon opponent, and this is the scene that was shot on Friday with a real audience. The Hollywood star was seen attacking Jay and knocking him out with a knee kick. 

Gyllenhaal is already super excited about this new film, as he completely changed his physique to make it look like a real UFC fighter. Yet to know the details of the character McGregor will play, the combat sports world is already counting the days until this movie is released in theaters.
