With yet another head kick, Joaquin Buckley once more astounded the MMA community. This time, Andrew Fialho loses in UFC Vegas 73 after taking New Mansa’s trademark head kick.
The UFC Vegas 73 event, held at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada, was headlined by MacKenzie Dern and Angela Hill. The event also featured another thrilling bout at the welterweight division between Buckley and Fialho.

How did Joaquin Buckley defeat Andre Fialho?
New Mansa and Fialho’s 170-pound fight was undoubtedly a vicious MMA exhibition. As they had just lost back-to-back battles, both fighters were prepared to make a strong statement inside the cage. For the welterweights, the stakes were very high, and many UFC spectators were prepared to at least see one of the fighters deliver a stunning performance.
Both fighters had excellent chances to score a knockout victory in the opening round. However, in the end, Buckley was the one who did not let the Las Vegas crowd down as it was he who delivered the show-stopping head kick that forced his Portuguese opponent to fall flat on his back.

What is next for New Mansa?
Is New Mansa back in top form again? Following Buckley’s spectacular head-kick KO, that is probably the most asked question. The American fighter, who is now 28 years old, didn’t bid 2022 a kind farewell, therefore the query is pertinent.
Rather than just once or twice, Buckley made an octagon appearance four times last year. The former Bellator star competed in two more bouts after winning the first two bouts against Abdul Razak Alhassan and Albert Duraev. Against Nassourdine Imavov and Chris Curtis, though, the Missouri native was unsuccessful.
Throughout his career, Buckley has transitioned through many weight classes. In the last few years, he competed in the middleweight division and got both successes and failures. However, he now looks focused on 170-lb and is eager to compete against the top welterweight fighters in the future.
