LeBron James is over the moon now, and there is a great reason. On Tuesday, the Lakers were set to take on the Thunder. However, what was most important for the team was seeing LeBron create history!
Before the game, King James was just thirty-five points away from breaking the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar record for the most points in the NBA. LeBron was sitting at 38,352 points, while the record was 38,387 points, set by Jabbar on April 5, 1984.
Twenty-nine years later, LeBron was set to break the record. At the start of his career, no one could guess that he would become such an influential player. However, here we are! The King of Los Angeles Lakers deservingly sat on his throne, becoming the ultimate “King.” Even though the Lakers lost the match 130–133, LeBron James did achieve greatness, and Kareem crowned him “King” by handing over the basketball!

On the other hand, after James received the basketball prize from Kareem, he could not stop himself from crying. Not only did he receive the highest respect from the Lakers legend, but King James was also now on top of the basketball world.

The L-Train is now sitting at 38,390 points after scoring 38 points in the game against the Thunder. The Thunder might have won the game, yet this game will always be remembered for King James as he fulfilled his promise and was crowned as the undisputed ruler of the NBA.
Furthermore, this also ends the GOAT debate; James will now be considered the ultimate GOAT of the league. The season is just halfway through, and 38-year-old James is in no mode to retire. It will be interesting to see how far the L-Train can go.
How many points will King James set as the new record? You can share your opinion in the comments.
