Lionel Messi continues to impress in his new club Inter Miami as he made his first start yesterday. The World Cup winner scored twice and assisted once yesterday in the 4-0 demolition of Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup.

Ticket prices for his games have gone up astronomically and fans are excited to see him. There is no doubt Messi’s arrival has caused many fans to want to see the GOAT.
Messi’s son, Thiago, seems to have learned well from his father, as he went on to demonstrate his own skills post-game.

Lionel Messi is used to making defenders look like idiots on the pitch, and it seems it runs in the family.
After the game finished, Messi’s sons took to the field to have some playtime. There they along with some other player’s kids played together. It was then that Messi’s first kid with Antonela Rocuzzo, Thiago Messi, showed glimpses of his father’s talents. He first did some impressive juggling, before nutmegging another kid for fun. His dribbling was on point and it seemed like Messi Sr. was playing.

The video has gone viral, with social media users making similarities between the father-son duo.
Meanwhile, Ciro Messi, the youngest of the Messi clan proved he has much to learn. While dribbling another kid, he kicked at his leg, causing him to fall down. He then passed the ball to the second child Mateo Messi, while Thiago was seen probably telling him to play fair.

Previously, Thiago also showed his skill during Messi’s presentation for Inter Miami. On that occasion, he had nutmegged his own father in front of the whole packed stadium, who was also amused.
Lionel Messi scored two goals to demolish Atlanta United
Messi scored his first goal from a Sergio Busquets assist in the eighth minute, a common feature during their Barcelona days. Messi then completed his brace in the 22nd minute after Robert Taylor passed the ball to him. Messi soon returned the favor, by assisting Robert to score his first of the game as well. The Finland international also later scored again to complete his brace.
Messi was eventually substituted in the 78th minute, but by then the damage to Atlanta was done. Atlanta was the 100th different club he had scored against, making another milestone record.
The game ended 4-0 in Miami’s favor, and it was the first time the team was 3 goals ahead before the second half. Since his arrival, the team has won two games consecutively. Before they had lost six games in a row, which perfectly shows the impact Lionel Messi has had on the team.
Lionel Messi will now enjoy a bit of rest before coming back to make his debut on August 21 when Inter Miami hosts Charlotte.
