The generosity of Dallas Mavericks’ superstar Luka Doncic towards a disabled NBA fan named Chase has gone viral.
Doncic surprised Chase, who has lost both his arms and legs, with tickets to the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, along with some team merchandise.
What’s more, Doncic also invited Chase as his special guest to practice and the game itself. It was a touching moment shared by “The Luka Doncic Foundation” on Instagram last Saturday.
Chase, who received the exciting news from his classmates, never thought he’d get the chance to meet his favorite basketball player. Blindfolded and escorted to Salt Lake City, Chase ran in excitement when Doncic appeared in front of him. “This is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me,” he exclaimed.
Doncic’s heartwarming gesture didn’t end there. The basketball star also gifted Chase a signed Mavericks jersey and autographed his prosthetic leg.
The 23-year-old Doncic, known for his philanthropy in the Dallas community through his foundation, has been improving the “health and well-being of children through play.”
Chase’s courage and strength have inspired many people, and his story is a testament to the power of hope. As he said, “I’ve got to say, I’ve lost my hands and my legs, but I never lost hope.”
Doncic’s gift has not only made Chase’s day, but it has also shown the world the power of kindness and the impact that athletes can have on their fans.
