American goalkeeper Matt Turner went on to reveal his upcoming baby’s gender in a truly unconventional way after the USA defeated El Salvador yesterday.
Turner played college soccer at Fairfield University before being signed by the New England Revolution in 2016. After starting as the team’s backup keeper, he took over as the starter in 2018 and has remained so ever since.
In 2021, Turner was named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, and he has also earned a call-up to the US men’s national team. He joined Arsenal in 2022 from the New England Revolution for a fee of £5.75 million. He is currently being utilized as a backup keeper for Arsenal behind Aaron Ramsdale. So far, he has made only five appearances for the gunners.

Matt and his wife Ashley Herron are expecting another baby later this year, and the 28 year old decided to reveal the gender of their future child. In video footage, Matt displayed a great deal of originality in the baby’s gender revelation.

As his teammates stood behind him and cheered a 3…2…1 countdown, Matt Turner lofted a toy soccer ball into the air with his foot. The soccer ball exploded into pink smoke, revealing that Matt’s soon-to-be-born baby is going to be a girl.
His teammates then immediately surrounded him, cheering him on and splashing him with water bottles. The crowd joined in the cheering, as they can clearly be heard in the video footage.
