Jimmy Butler is seemingly still hurt by Damian Lillard’s trade to the Milwaukee Bucks. The three-team trade deal which sent Lillard to the Bucks shook up the world of NBA, as the Bucks are now being eyed as serious title contenders with Giannis and Dame pairing up on the court.
Jimmy Butler really wanted Dame to join the Miami Heat and for a certain time being Lillard wanted that too. Unfortunately the trade fell through, and Lillard ended up with the Bucks. Since then, Jimmy Buckets has been feeling heartbroken and thirsty for revenge, with now his somewhat unconventional all-time starting five raising eyebrows.
Butler’s picks DiVincenzo, Padgett, Singler, Novak, and Horford
Jimmy Butler used an Instagram filter where he could pick their best all-time players to make a starting five. Butler made a hilarious list consisting of five role players instead. Butler named Donte DiVincenzo as his point guard, followed by former Rockets’ big man Scott Padgett as the power forward. He added Kyle Singler as his small forward and Steve Novak as his shooting guard, and Celtics Al Horford as the Center.
It seems Jimmy Buckets intentionally made up this team in order to rile fans. He never hesitates to flaunt his sense of humor. Although Butler is upset about the fact that the Heat could not acquire Lillard, he is not afraid of any NBA team and remains undaunted. He has also promised to defeat Dame and the Bucks in the upcoming season.
Jimmy Butler suggests tampering by Bucks in Lillard deal
Jimmy Butler in a post on social media had accused the Bucks of tampering the deal to acquire Damian Lillard. He said, “Yo, NBA, man, y’all need to look into the Bucks for tampering, y’all do,” he said. “I’m just gonna put that out there. Y’all didn’t hear it from me, but I heard it through somebody…”
Butler isn’t the only one who believes that the Bucks have acquired Lillard through tampering, his teammate Tyler Herro believes it too. Herro retweeted the video and wrote, “What he said.”
Pairing Damian Lillard with Giannis Antetokounmpo has made the Milwaukee Bucks a powerful force. This trade was also necessary for the Bucks to prevent Giannis from leaving Milwaukee and keeping him happy. Giannis had previously said that he wouldn’t sign a contract extension unless he is surrounded by a worthy supporting cast who would help him win more championships.
