The NFL’s AFC North division just got a lot more interesting with the recent signing of Odell Beckham Jr. by the Baltimore Ravens. The talented wide receiver has joined the Ravens on a one-year deal worth $15 million, and he’s already making waves with his comments about his former team, the Cleveland Browns.
When asked about no longer playing in a big city like Los Angeles, where he was previously based, Beckham Jr. responded in a humorous manner, taking a jab at the Browns.
He said, “Well, I was in Cleveland.” It’s worth noting that Beckham Jr. played for the Browns from 2019 to 2021, after the team traded their first and third-round picks in 2019, along with several players, to acquire him.

Journey of Odell Beckham Jr. in the NFL
Things didn’t go as planned for Beckham Jr. in Cleveland. He suffered an ACL injury in 2020 and had a public fallout with the team, leading to his release the following season. Despite this setback, Beckham Jr. bounced back and reached the peak of his career, winning a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
Now, he’s back in the AFC North with the Ravens, and his addition to the team is significant. Baltimore desperately needed a standout wide receiver, and Beckham Jr. fits the bill perfectly. His presence could also help keep quarterback Lamar Jackson on the team for at least another year.
The Ravens will face the Browns twice a year, making an improved offense crucial for their success. With Beckham Jr. on board, Baltimore’s offense will have a new dimension that could give them an edge over their rivals. While he’s excited to win with the Ravens, Beckham Jr. may not be looking forward to road trips to Cleveland.
It’s clear that Odell Beckham Jr. is not one to hold back when it comes to expressing his opinions, and his recent comments about the Browns are just the latest example of his sense of humor and wit.
As he joins the Ravens, he’ll have the chance to prove his worth once again, and perhaps help the team take the next step toward a Super Bowl victory. With his speed, agility, and talent, Beckham Jr. could be a game-changer for Baltimore, and his presence in the AFC North is sure to add some excitement to the divisional rivalry.
We can’t wait to see what he’ll do next, both on and off the field.
