“We’ll never see the best of Anthony Joshua again” trainer Dominic Ingle claims on two-time former unified world heavyweight champion has had ‘very easy route’

The Boxing world is seeing many of its biggest contemporary fighters return to the ring and Anthony Joshua is no exception. His last few performances have not been anywhere near the best and if the words of Dominic Ingle are anything to go by, we may never see those glory days again.

In a recent interview, Dominic claimed, “For me, I don’t think we’ll ever see the best of Anthony Joshua again. I think he’s had his peak. There could be a number of factors – wealth, a lack of commitment, a lack of ability to learn. I don’t think we’ll ever see him get to the top again.”

“When you’re on that winning streak and you feel like you’re invincible, it counts for a lot and you’ll get off the canvas. I think Anthony Joshua did exceptionally well, but I think he had a very easy route to those world title fights. The Klitschko fight was a tester, but he was past his best and Tyson Fury had already beaten him in his backyard,” he further explained.

Who is responsible for the decline of Anthony Joshua?

With great power comes great responsibility, is one of the sayings from the classic Spiderman origin story. If we look at AJ’s life and career, we can get a potential glimpse at what went wrong with the promising British boxer. We can also use some of the hints dropped by Ingle in his interview.

One of his trainers Robert Garcia shared some ideas about what the boxer should do to make a comeback. Anthony has changed his trainers pretty much once per fight which is not only not helpful but also could downgrade his performance. On the other hand, chasing big fights and aspiring for huge paydays without putting in the work is also a bad practice.

AJ takes on Jermaine Franklin for his next bout.
