Khabib Nurmagomedov, recognized as one of the best fighters to ever enter the UFC ring, scared the entire lightweight division. The retired fighter would be a good source of advice for active fighters, proven by the fact that he is responsible for coaching the current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
However, the coaching instincts of the Dagestani lightweight champion go back years, and there is one viral clip that shows he can offer unconventional advice as well.
Khabib’s advice to fan to take revenge on Masvidal
A viral video shows a fan trolling Khabib by asking for the best ways to beat fellow UFC competitor Jorge Masvidal in a fight. He explains that his girlfriend had gone to Miami and hooked up with the fighter.
Masvidal was a big name during the days this video went viral as the American MMA fighter had some impressive knockouts to his name, including a vicious flying knee to Ben Askren in 2019. He had also fought Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title earlier that year.
Khabib had a funny response to the fan who was trolling him. He suggested that the fan should get a dog, and even with the dog, he might still have a chance. Khabib’s smile in the video clip appears to indicate that he realized the fan was teasing him. The fan further went on to ask if he should just find Masvidal in a restaurant and front-kick him. Khabib jokingly replied that he may but he’d still have a better chance with a dog.
Khabib vs McGregor historic bout resurfaces on the internet
It’s been exactly 5 years since Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor faced each other in the Octagon. The bout between Conor and Khabib is one for the history books, as the fight featured all aspects of human relationships, ranging from respect to hatred.
The Notorious was forced to accept defeat by the undefeated lightweight fighter via a submission. The after-fight scenes were even more disappointing. McGregor’s corner got into a physical brawl with Khabib’s corner, resulting in Nurmagomedov jumping out of the cage at McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis.
Both the fighters were consequently penalized by the concerned authorities. Conor vs. Khabib to date remains one of the biggest fights in terms of viewership numbers, money, drama, and every other sense.
