Season 14 of League of Legends is just around the corner, and a lot of exciting stuff is expected to come along with it. League of Legends is a 2009 multiplayer video game based in an online arena by Riot Games, the developer of Valorant. The game is inspired by Defense of the Ancients, a custom map for Warcraft III.
As per a preview by Riot Phreak, 14.1 Patch is coming up in the new Season 1 of, LOL, with a completely different outlook of the game. The new patch boasts to give a new dimension to the world of LOL.
When is LOL patch 14.1 going to release?
The launch of Patch 14.1 is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in the 2024 League calendar, according to the official Riot Games patch schedule.
Summoner’s Rift will be getting its biggest update in over a decade; dozens of items in the game’s shop will be removed and/or revamped, and every champion on the game’s roster will feel the effects in some way or another.
The newest patch will be launching in different timezones across the day, beginning with the Oceanic server at 10 a.m. AEST. The rollout of the patch for the remaining servers includes 5 AM GMT (EU West), 3 AM CET (EU North East), 8 AM KST (Korea) and 3 PM CT (NA).
Riot Games will disable all the matchmaking and competitive queues for almost three hours prior to when the update goes live on servers.
What are the major changes in LOL patch 14.1?
There are major changes to Baron Nashor’s visual appearance as the Void engulfs the Summoner’s Rift map. Baron Nashor will get three forms : Hunting Baron (Blast of Lightning to blast nearby enemies), Territorial Baron (new hands for pulling nearby enemies towards his location), and All-seeing Baron (A void rift spawn, creating a damage-over-time zone with a tunnel inside).
The first Rift Herald will be replaced by the Void Grubs, which will unleash a swarm of Voidmites to attack the enemies.
The ranked system will undergo a paradigm shift with a new three-split ranked structure, accommodating players returning to the game or even newbies joining halfway through the ranked season and earning more rewards: Split 1: January 10–May 2024; Split 2: May–September 2024; and Split 3: September–January 2025.
The top lane has undergone essential changes. A small pixer has been introduced, giving better stealth opportunities. Additionally, the Red Side Wall has been elongated, giving Junglers a more challenging gank.
Mid Lane has been expanded in the form of river bushes outward to dissuade Junglers and roaming enemy supporters from Camping Mid.
While Bot Lane has more vulnerability now. A small Pixel brush has been replaced by the river opening.
On account of the Year of the Dragon, some new Dragonmancer skins have been inducted, giving the game a more interesting piece:

- Dragonmancer Rakan (Epic): 1,350 RP
- Dragonmancer Rakan (Prestige)
- Dragonmancer Vayne (Epic): 1,350 RP
Riot games are removing the Mythic Items, the most essential items of all the games, diversifying item builds and freshening up gameplay. The new items that will be introduced will bring better flexibility with item build paths.
