Fortnite is an online video game that allows real-time gamers to compete against each other in different game modes. What started as a battle royale game with 100 players competing against each other has now turned into a whole metaverse with six different game modes. Epic Games recently collaborated with LEGO to launch the new game mode LEGO Fortnite, as well as two other game modes.
On December 14, marking the onset of the winter season, a new Fortnite update was introduced by the name of Winterfest 2023. This update celebrated the holiday season with Christmas-themed quests, presents and many more. But with the beginning of a new year, it ended the Winterfest 2023 event, getting rid of many features like the Winterfest Quests, Winter-themed POIs and more.

The new update saw the introduction of a new assault rifle called Enforcer and a brand new shield item, Flowberry Fizz. With the removal of a winter-themed background, Fortnite’s lobby is back to its usual self.
The update also made sure to remove various winter-themed features, like the skins of Sgt. Winter and Krampus, weaponry like the icy grappler and snowball launcher and the Snowy Flopper fish. With the introduction of three new game modes and the ending of Winterfest, Fortnite is experiencing an all-time high.
What is Flowberry Fizz & where to find it in Fortnite?
Flowberry Fizz is a new form of shield introduced in the freshest update of Fortnite. This update was launched on January 2, the same day Winterfest 2023 ended. The Fizz has 100 shields that can be applied to oneself to shield one from an attack or they can also be applied to a teammate.
The consumable, although very effective in a squad match, can prove quite useless in a solo game, with its main function being used upon one’s teammates. The Fizz also offers some extra perks, like the low gravity effect, and can also be used as a replacement for Med-Mist. Found in loot and drops, Flowberry Fizz can also be taken from other players. Like every other item, the best chance of getting a Flowberry Fizz is in a hotspot.
The LEGO collaboration and the introduction of three new game modes have marked a new era for Fortnite. Winterfest is just one of many updates that would continue this era smoothly.
