He finally hung up his boots in 2013. Beckham is currently one of the three owners of Inter Miami, a club that Lionel Messi plays for.

David Beckham, who recently got accused of cheating his wife with his former assistant, came into the public eye after his debut for Manchester United. He instantly became famous for his amazing skills and dashing looks, which earned him a sponsorship from Adidas. The English footballer could have bought a house and improved his living conditions, but he decided to go in a different direction.
According to the Mirror, the former Real Madrid player revealed that he bought a brand new BMW after his first salary was credited. “The first thing that I spent my money on was a BMW; that was my first paycheck from (his sponsors) Adidas, and I just blew all my money on a BMW,” the former England captain said on the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio.
He also admitted that the decision was influenced by teammates Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs.
