Rivalries among counterparts aren’t uncommon at all and the fact suits ‘The Rock’ and Vin Diesel wonderfully as the duo has long-standing grudges between them. Both stars have gained prominence in Hollywood through their acting careers but unfortunately their combined movie campaign led to a feud between them.
So, it is time to let the cat out of the bag exposing the stressful relationship between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel.
How the feud between The Rock and Vin Diesel Started?
The Rock has found success in both his on and off-the-ring life. During his active tenure as a professional wrestler, he achieved the mark of arguably one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. And now, he seems to be at the peak of his acting career as one of the highest-paid actors of the current time.
The ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise is a successful franchise out of many mega projects Johnson was part of. And this is where he met another Hollywood star Vin Diesel with whom Rock developed a feud.
They started working in 2011’s Fast Five but it wasn’t until 2016 when their tensions really started reaching boiling point. Their rivalry started through an Instagram post shared by the former wrestler. In his post, he addressed someone with ‘Candy Ass’.
Although he didn’t mention any name, his colleagues confirmed Dwayne meant Vin as the two had been spotted having altercations many times in the shooting set. But the exact reason behind such hatred in each other’s hearts isn’t known for sure.
The Rock and Vin Diesel’s current relationship
Diesel didn’t digest the remark silently and replied back saying, ‘Honestly, give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything’. And this is basically how the war continued and became more intense with time.
It’s been nearly seven years since the actors got caught up in a fight. The Mega franchise has kept Vin as their lead character but the Rock hasn’t appeared in any of its movies since ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ in 2019.
Well, irrespective of their personal feuds, many fans love to see these mega stars’ chemistry on the silver screen. With Dwayne Johnson rumored to make an appearance during ‘Fast X’, we could see the megastars squash their feuds and deliver for the fans.
