Giannis Antetokounmpo, the “Greek Freak” is thirsty for another championship victory. This time he has joined forces with the lethal shooter Damian Lillard and the two have set out to petrify the entire NBA and bring home the championship trophy.
The duo has been receiving a lot of hype from the entire NBA community as Dame and Giannis are both superb players and fans have a very high expectation from them. In the preseason game between Bucks and the Lakers, the Bucks won giving all NBA fans a preview of a potential fierce matchup in the regular season. But it seems the LA Lakers Christian Wood does not harbor any good feelings towards their rivals and is seeking to have a revenge on the Bucks, Giannis in particular.
Wood reacts to Giannis troll
Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a photo on Instagram of him blocking Christian Wood and then tagged him. This made fans go crazy. Some said that Giannis is acting all different this year and it’s going to be crazy watching him and the Bucks, while some felt that he was disrespecting Christian Wood.
What many people don’t know is that Wood had played for the Milwaukee Bucks before for a period of six months and that Giannis and he are great friends. The two were also seen tackling each other and laughing after the game. Wood reacted to Giannis’ troll saying that he has their regular season meeting circled in his Calendar.
“I love it,” Wood wrote in the comments of an Instagram post by NBA on ESPN on October 16. “I’ll see him during the season just circled the game on my calendar.”
Wood is one of the Lakers’ new guys who signed with them during the offseason. With his addition, the team has more options in the frontcourt. Wood is one of the best big man three-point shooters in the league and is able to score from anywhere beyond the arc, be it the corner or a long-range shot. This is why leaving him open might cost his opponents. Big men shooters are rare and so Christian’s ability to score is unique. It seems coach Darvin Ham has big plans for Wood this season.
