Team Liquid is a community of 120 players representing the team in a total of 12 eSports titles, including CS: GO, Valorant, PUBG, League of Legends, etc. Founded in 2000, it began as an online Starcraft community. But, surprisingly, in its infancy, it won a lot of viewers, fans and titles. They are now not just a community of eSports enthusiasts but a large business venture, gaining millions of dollars annually.
In a recent turn of events, Team Liquid released an open slot for their Senior Vice President position until last month on various online platforms. The role that they expect an SVP of Commercials to play is to drive Team Liquid’s commercial, business development, and partnership strategy. And surprisingly, joining them in this position is a former executive of their rivals, Heroic.
Which ex-Heroic executive joined Team Liquid?
Isikcan Aysev has been working as the CCO of Heroic, a Norwegian esports organisation specialising in CS2 and CS:GO, since 2021. Isikcan has 12 years of work experience at the consulting firm Kearney, developing synergy with international clients in consumer goods, retail and automotive.
With the Senior Vice President of Commercials position open, Team Liquid has hired this former CCO of Heroic. He will be looking after sales, business development and partnership strategies in his new company. In addition, he will be working towards strengthening Team Liquid’s portfolio of partners, which already includes major brands like Alienware, Honda, Coinbase, Monster Energy Drink, etc.
