CJ Perry shocked the world after appearing at AEW All Out in a move that no one, including Miro, saw coming. She is well known for her portrayal as Lana on WWE television, where she also served as the manager of Rusev in the 2010s.
Although she frequently wrestled in the ring, her performance wasn’t up to par, and WWE primarily kept her as a manager. After joining their rival company, CJ Perry has declared that she’s coming for the GOAT manager status and warned Paul Heyman.
Who is CJ Perry?
CJ Perry is an American professional wrestler who is married to Miro, also known as Rusev. Both of them are currently employed by AEW. She is well known for her tenure in WWE from 2013 to 2021 and has been involved in many memorable storylines throughout the years. Before her wrestling career, she worked as an actress and appeared alongside Bruce Willis.
The Ravishing Russian served as the manager of Rusev from his NXT days to the main roster, and the two paired up and also feuded briefly on multiple occasions. She attempted a singles run, but her in-ring performance didn’t meet expectations, even after going through the WWE Performance Center. She was also involved in some controversial storylines, such as the one with Bobby Lashley and Liv Morgan, which gained notoriety for all the wrong reasons.
Rusev left the company and took a break from wrestling before joining AEW. She took a break for 2 years and made her return to professional wrestling as her real name on AEW All Out. She came to save her husband, Miro, from a post-match attack by Powerhouse Hobbs and hit the latter with a chair.
CJ Perry wants to be greater manager than Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman, the pinnacle of professional wrestling managers, has been the advocate of many faces of the Stamford-based company such as Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and currently, the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman has an immense wealth of knowledge about the industry in his portfolio and is a very key part of WWE.
In an interview with Chris Von Vliet, CJ Perry revealed how she was coming for the GOAT manager spot of Paul Heyman. She was quoted, “So I want to be the best of all time. I want to be the best wrestling manager of all time. I want to be when people think of like, people often want to be managed by Paul Heyman because he is the best manager of all time right now. I want that spot and so I want people to be like, ‘I want CJ Perry to manage me.’”
