Danny Green, LeBron’s former teammate, has a lot of respect for LeBron James and his work ethic. Being one of LeBron’s ex-teammates, he had got the opportunity to get to know King James as a person as well as a team leader and an individual player.
In a recent episode of “Run Your Race” podcast, Green revealed LeBron’s daily schedule and how he is like both on court and off court. Green used funny analogy to describe LeBron’s busy schedule.
Who is Danny Green?
Danny Green is an American professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of North Carolina (UNC), where he played in more games and had more wins than any Tar Heel before him. Green is also the only player in the history of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) with at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 three-pointers, 150 blocks and 150 steals.
Danny Green won an NCAA championship in his senior year and was subsequently drafted by the Cavaliers with the 46th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft.
During the 2013 NBA Finals, Green set an NBA record for most three-point field goals made in a Finals series. Green then won an NBA championship with the San Antonio Spurs the following season and became just the third player from UNC to win an NCAA championship and an NBA championship, the two others being James Worthy and Michael Jordan.
Green won a second NBA championship in his only season with the Toronto Raptors in 2019 and in 2020 he won a third championship in his only season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Green is famous for his perimeter defense and has proven to be an effective player on both ends of the court.
Danny Green’s hilarious analogy to describe LeBron James’ daily life
Danny Green in the “Run Your Race” podcast spoke about LeBron’s daily life and his jam packed schedule. He said, “His day is so structured. I don’t think he can take a s*** in peace,” Green said. “I think it’s timed. He’s so used to everything being timed, he’s like, ‘alright, I got two minutes, take a s***”. Danny’s hilarious analogy made everyone watching the podcast laugh.
In order to be as successful as LeBron, players need to have a strict routine and follow a disciplined lifestyle. LeBron’s strict schedule is one of the reasons that makes him a great sportsman. He keeps himself engaged in a lot of things. He also takes rest and enjoys the breaks because he knows that all work and no play will make him a dull guy. Even at this age LeBron is one of the league’s best players.
