Recently, Jermell Charlo got arrested for the assault on one of his family members, and one of the leaked audio clips got the attention of not just fans but also the legal authorities. He was sent on bail last weekend, and on Monday, his wife was looking for a divorce and a restraining order. It is believed that Chy Westbrook got to know about the clip and didn’t find herself continuing in the married relationship with the world champion boxer.

Jermell Charlo was arrested in Texas with charges of misdemeanor assault for his harmful act causing injury to one of the family members, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. Within 2 days, Charlo was released on Monday after a bond was posted. The victim of that assault has not been revealed yet.
However, his wife asked for restraining orders from the court with that divorce filing. Earlier Jermell did the same kind of act when he choked his girlfriend in 2018. Later that year, he was released, as the jury didn’t find him guilty of any false acts.
In less than 3 months, this is the second setback for Jermell Charlo. On September 30th, he received the second defeat of his career at the hands of Canelo Alvarez, and now some weeks later, this arrest will be the biggest headline for the world champion.
