Shane McMahon reacts to son Declan’s WWE Fastlane appearance

WWE Fastlane was a success with a sold-out crowd of around 15,000 strong live from Indianapolis. Prior to the main event between Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins for the WWE Heavyweight Championship with Last Man Standing stipulations, Declan McMahon and the Indiana Hoosiers football teams were shown on television with Michael Cole and Corey Graves acknowledging their presence in the arena.

His father, Shane McMahon took it to social media after his son appeared at WWE Fastlane and reacted by saying he was proud to be Declan’s father and cheered up the Indiana Hoosiers in a tweet. Shane was name-dropped by Michael Cole on commentary too, but it’s still unknown when he’ll return to in-ring action.

Shane O’Mac’s disastrous last WWE appearance

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Shane McMahon on WWE television. He was last seen and involved in a rather unfortunate incident at WrestleMania 39 as a surprise opponent for The Miz. The match was made official by the WrestleMania 39 co-host, Snoop Dogg, which didn’t go well, with Shane O’Mac tearing his quads in a sequence where he landed his jump wrong.

It was visible that this moment was unplanned, but The Miz, being the professional he is, called a match on-the-fly against Snoop Dogg, with Shane McMahon requiring immediate medical attention. Snoop Dogg would go on to deliver his own rendition of the People’s Elbow and pinned The Miz for the win.

It didn’t go well for Shane O’Mac when he last appeared before WrestleMania too due to changing plans at Royal Rumble 2022. which led to his firing by Vince himself. He “rubbed the people in a wrong way” after trying to take charge of producing the Royal Rumble match. He was pulled from the events after Royal Rumble 2022.

It’s uncertain when Shane O’Mac will be back in the squared circle, but there was an update recently with him going through rehab and getting in shape to return.

Do you think Shane McMahon should hang up his boots for good? Discuss in the comments.
