Troy Aikman’s girlfriend Haley fired from Nordstrom
Troy Aikman is now dating Haley Clark. Their relationship became public in June but the recent revelations about Clark have shocked everyone. Haley Clark, who is 34 years old, is accused of scamming a $2.27bn store chain, Nordstrom.
According to the reports, she used to work at Nordstrom and is accused of scamming the retail giant by stealing nearly $4,000 worth of products.
She did this through the improper use of her employee discount. Nordstrom also alleged that her friends and family also made purchases from the store improperly using her discount. Clark was also accused of using another employee’s Nordstrom Notes for purchases.
“Plaintiff allowed her friends and relatives to make purchases using her Nordstrom employee discount in direct violation of Nordstrom policy,” the department store said in the court papers in 2017.
Clark acknowledged her unlawful activities and signed an “adult criminal trespass warning.” After which she was banned from Nordstrom for two years. However, Nordstrom didn’t file criminal charges against her.
Aikmans’ girlfriend then filed a lawsuit against Nordstrom in 2018, seeking more than $200,000 in damages. She claimed that she had been wrongly accused.
“Plaintiff alleges that she was detained in a deliberately intimidating environment for the purpose of being coerced into signing various documents, including one purporting to be a promissory note evidencing a debt to Nordstrom,” Clark claimed in her lawsuit.
However, both parties then decided to settle the case through arbitration in 2019. They decided not to settle this matter legally.
“Arbitration is a private process, and neither Clark nor her former employer may disclose the existence, content, or results of any arbitration without the prior written consent of all parties,” Clark’s attorney said.
As the case was settled privately, there are no more details available about what happened next or how they settled the case.
