Paddy Pimblett is sure that we will be competing at UFC 304 in Manchester. Paddy Pimblett was on a hot streak, rising through the ranks in the UFC. But he suffered a brutal injury, which sidelined him for several months. He made his comeback at UFC 296 against Tony Ferguson.
Paddy Pimblett was victorious at UFC 296. Following this crucial win, he received a ferocious call out from Bobby Green. However, Paddy is not at all interested in a fight with Bobby Green. Paddy Pimblett wants to fight a fighter who is ranked in the top 15 in the lightweight division. He wants his next opponent to be Renato Moicano at UFC 304 in Manchester.
“Bobby Green screamed my name on the mic after [UFC 300]… he might be ranked but he’s got no followers and he needs me… I’d rather fight my boy [Renato] Moicano. Where you at, Renato?… I’d rather go right in at rank 10 rather than beating rank 15. But, next for me… hopefully it’s someone in the top 15,” said Paddy.
Paddy is one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC right now. He will be a big draw for anyone at UFC 304, as the Brit will be fighting in front of his fans in Manchester. However, Dana White has not yet confirmed that Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett will fight at UFC 304.
Renato Moicano secured an important win over Jailin Turner at the UFC 300 prelims. Since then, both fighters have been locked in a heated online feud. This could possibly be a matchup that both fighters want and a fight that fans want to see.
Why did Paddy Pimblett reject potential Bobby Green bout?
At UFC 300, Bobby Green defeated Jim Miller via a unanimous decision. Following a dominant performance, Green was ecstatic and called out Paddy Pimblett. Paddy has been out of action for months after his win over Tony Ferguson. He was enjoying the birth of his twin daughters with his wife.
Till now, the UFC has not announced any fights that have been scheduled for PPV in Manchester. Paddy Pimblett as well as Tom Aspinall are confident that they will compete at UFC 304. So, it will be interesting to see who will be Paddy Pimblett’s next opponent.
