After leaving the Bloodline and Roman Reigns in June, Jey Uso quickly became a fan favorite in WWE. He and Cody Rhodes won the WWE Tag Team Championship at Fastlane. Jey Uso’s antics after leaving Fastlane created a major sensation, and now he’s branching out into another field. He even had the famous rapper Sexyy Red come out to the WWE ring as a special guest.
Songs by Sexyy Red, such as “Pound Town” and “SkeeYee,” have amassed millions of views and streams across several platforms, solidifying his status as a widely popular rapper. During their social media exchange, Jey Uso abruptly offered an invitation.
Jey Uso responds to Sexyy Red’s request
Rappers have worked with WWE before to write anthems for up-and-coming stars, so this is nothing new. Yuno Miles, a rapper, has just released a WWE diss track in which he takes shots at many wrestlers. However, Sexyy Red isn’t the only artist who finds pro wrestling fascinating. Cardi B recently discussed her desire to perform at WrestleMania 40. This demonstrates the ever-present relationship between the music industry and wrestling.
A Twitter user by the name of HaangEmHiigh has been posting hilarious videos of wrestlers lip-syncing to current hits. One video showed Jey Uso getting the audience hyped up to Red’s “SkeeYee,” with commentary from Michael Cole’s AI mimic.
Red quoted that post writing, “I wanna see this happen Fr 😭😭😭 @WWE when yal gonna invite me?”, to which, Jey Uso responded with a direct inviation for the rapper.
Jey Uso’s popularity extends beyond just enjoying a career boost as one-half of the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions. She was so thrilled that an ex-member of Bloodline asked her to be a special guest at a WWE event. It’s obvious that Jey Uso’s popularity is growing and that people from all walks of life are taking an interest in him.
Usos recorded their own theme song
The first time WWE fans heard Jey Uso’s new theme music was at WWE Payback 2023. The new Jey Uso theme tune is almost the same as the old one, but the vocals have been completely redone. The original tune for The Usos had Jimmy Uso’s voice, but Jey replaced him with his now-iconic “It’s just me, Uce” chant. However, the Usos have their own vocals on their theme song, and seeing the recording process in action is as chilling as hearing the music itself.
Jey Uso then debuted his own solo theme in the ring after he and the Bloodline broke up. Moreover, the new Jimmy theme sounds suspiciously like a rip-off of Roman Reigns’ music. The Usos have been given new songs during their respective journeys on SmackDown and RAW. This is the first time the brothers have worked in different editions.
