Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham’s brother, Jobe Bellingham, who currently plays in the Championship for Sunderland, is on a path to greatness, just like his brother. He scored a brace against Rotherham in the Championship couple of weeks ago in round 3.
Jobe’s elder brother Jude Bellingham, recently transferred to Spanish club Real Madrid on a six-year contract worth €103 million. The two brothers have been great in their respective leagues but the younger one has decided to remove the Bellingham name from his Jersey.

Since Real Madrid signed Jude Bellingham, he has been exceptional in every match. The player has scored in all of his La Liga matches and currently sits at the top of the goal scorers table. Jude’s performance has made the Bellingham name a hard one to live up to. While some might think that Jobe Bellingham is trying to ease the pressure by removing his last name from his number 7 jersey, that is not the case.
Jobe, a player with immense potential, has been scoring goals for Sunderland and captaining England’s U18 team. He is not trying to distance himself from the Bellingham name but rather striving to establish his own identity. “I think he’s trying to create his own identity. He doesn’t want to live off the back of his brother’s name; he wants to be the footballer that he is and show people what he can do.” said Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray.

Both Jude and Jobe Bellingham switched clubs in the summer transfer market of 2023. Jude left Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund to join Real Madrid, and Jobe made a move from Birmingham City to Sunderland. The two have enjoyed great times at their new clubs, where Jude is currently La Liga’s top scorer, and Jobe Bellingham made headlines after scoring a brace in his fourth match for Sunderland.
