The Dallas Cowboys selected Kansas State Wildcats running back Deuce Vaughn in the sixth round overall 212th pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
The Cowboys associate director of college scouting Chris Vaughn had a specific reason to be pleased with how the team used the selection. When the decision was made in the draft room, the Cowboys chose his son, and he was overcome with emotion.

As much heartfelt moment as it is, some tiny brain haters are making it an issue of nepotism. On social media, they are indicating the pick of unworthy as Deuce got drafted only for his father’s influence. One fan wrote on Twitter, “Wonder why they picked him.”

Dallas Cowboys. Why would anyone be concerned by Nepotism #JustSaying

While some of these retarded people got nonsense jealous out of nowhere, it doesn’t spoil the wholesome moment of a father being proud of his son achieving success. The kid is clearly a suitable pick in the sixth round for the Cowboys.
How good is Deuce Vaughn?
Deuce earned second-team All-Big 12 Conference honors as a running back in 2021 and first-team Associated Press All-American honors as an all-purpose player in 2022.
In his three years of college play, Deuce accumulated 4,884 yards from scrimmage and 43 touchdowns. The Big 12 championship game, where Kansas State upset undefeated TCU, maybe the event that fans remember him from most. As the Wildcats triumphed 31-28, he carried the ball 26 times for 130 yards and a touchdown.
According to the B/R Scouting Department’s final 2023 big board, Vaughn was the 16th-ranked running back. Derrik Klassen, a B/R NFL scout, described him as “a fantastic athlete” and “a ready-made pass-catcher” who can provide a change of pace in the backfield in addition to being a reliable receiving option.
The younger Vaughn’s stature is the biggest question mark; he was the smallest running back ever measured at the Combine. Despite performing well physically at his Pro Day, his 5-5, 179-pound frame means he must demonstrate his ability to play against bigger men in the pros.
