WWE In Talks To Renew Contracts With Top-Tier Superstars

There have been layoffs at WWE, but the company isn’t releasing any of its biggest draws yet. The Stamford-based promotion is actively negotiating new contracts with key wrestlers to keep them in the fold.

Becky Lynch needs a long break and won’t join another company. It seems Ricochet has decided to use his talents elsewhere and has joined AEW. In such a tough situation where many superstars are on break, WWE has successfully extended contracts with Asuka, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported, “WWE went to a number of people whose deals are coming up over the next several months to sign new contracts. Asuka was announced publicly. There may be others, but WWE did not confirm them.”

However, they also need to negotiate a new deal with Kevin Owens, whose contract is nearing its end. These actions show that the organization is trying to keep its best performers even though things are changing.

However, Becky Lynch’s contract is the one that has the biggest cloud over it. Folks are wondering why “The Man” hasn’t signed with WWE yet.

Why Becky Lynch isn’t rushing to sign a new WWE contract

On June 1st, Becky Lynch’s contract with WWE expired, making her a free agent. However, she is taking her time before signing with a new company. PWTorch reported that Becky has no immediate plans to sign a new deal with WWE or AEW.

Meanwhile, she seems to be stepping away from wrestling for the time being. She seems to be taking a break from wrestling for the time being. Still, people in the WWE world think she’ll come back soon and sign a new deal when she’s ready. The fans will just have to wait for her to make her next move.
