John Cena and The Undertaker are two pillars of WWE and are certified legends. Both have their own tremendous legacies. Cena is younger than Undertaker and still wrestles for the WWE part-time while The Undertaker has peacefully retired and is a respected Hall of Famer.
They both went on to have a match at Wrestlemania 34, where Undertaker squashed Cena in what was supposed to be a heavily criticized match by the fans. Following the match, Undertaker recently appeared on HotBoxin’ with Mike Tyson and opened up about his match with the Leader of Cenation.
Undertaker shares touching moment with John Cena for his daughter
The Undertaker, speaking about his Wrestlemania bout with Cena, quoted, “We go and have this match at Wrestlemania. I end up beating Cena, and I look over at my daughter, and she’s got like one thumb one and one thumb down, and I’m like, Kaia, what was with that? and she goes, Dad, I’m really happy that you won, but I can’t believe that you beat Cena.”
He added, “Are you kidding me? I’m your dad; I get to beat everybody.” Following this, Undertaker clarified that Cena had to go to his daughter to say, “You know, I talked a lot of smack about you, Dad, you know. I kind of deserved it.” This sure cleared things up, and the Undertaker’s daughter was fine with her Dad beating up Cena at Wrestlemania.
How many times has Cena won the WWE Championship
Cena is a bonafide legend in the business and has won multiple titles in his illustrious career. Cena has won a record-tying 16 world titles. This record is tied with that of the Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
John Cena is just one championship win away from setting the record for the most number of reigns. But with his career being part-time and his acting career getting established, will Leader of Cenation be able to put the most important feather in his cap?
Cena tried to win the Universal Championship from Roman Reigns at SummerSlam in 2021 but failed to do so. That was the last time he challenged for a world title, and it looks like he has no issues with it, and the dust has settled on that. Still, never say never in the wrestling world, as one day, we might see Cena holding the World Heavyweight Championship or the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
With the clock ticking on his career, will Cena be able to achieve this milestone, or will he retire as only a 16-time World Champion? Let’s hope that WWE properly utilizes Cena before it is too late.
