WWE’s storied history includes its famous headquarters, Titan Towers, which has been home to the company for over 30 years. Now that WWE has relocated to a new site on Washington Boulevard, they have put this famous Stamford building up for sale.
CTInsider.com says that the building is being listed by the business real estate company Newmark. Currently, the building can be used for re-leasing or redevelopment.
The listing emphasizes that the property’s CN zoning makes it suitable for a range of uses, including flats, study sites, schools, and health clubs.
The original WWE headquarters aka “Titan Towers” have been in operation since 1985 and served as the company’s nerve center for many years. In addition to hosting Monday Night Raw during a snowstorm lockdown in Connecticut, it featured in several WWE stories and even starred in a Super Bowl commercial.
Is WWE’s headquarters sale following the same path as their recent staff cuts?
WWE has undergone many changes recently, including laying off employees since last year’s merger and deciding to relocate its headquarters from Stamford. Now, with Titan Towers up for sale, many wonder if this is another cost-saving decision connected to the recent layoffs.
Since last year, it has been quite evident that WWE’s goal under TKO Group was to increase revenue. As a result, the company has implemented cost-cutting strategies such as layoffs, recruiting, and property sales to boost profitability.
Now, they’re in a new 400,000-square-foot office on Washington Blvd. in Stamford, Connecticut. The new office space provides ample workspace for over 800 employees. Because they’ve been in the new location since 2019, the old and original HQ, despite its historical significance, may no longer be necessary.
