WWE Reportedly Eyes Two-Night Royal Rumble in 2026, 2027

TKO COO Mark Shapiro has talked about making more WWE events two-night shows, not just WrestleMania. The idea is catching on, as SummerSlam will be two nights in 2025 and 2026. Now, WWE is thinking about doing the same for the Royal Rumble.

On WrestleVotes Radio’s Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC discussed the company’s push for more two-night PLEs. While fans learned SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis would span two nights, it was later confirmed this format will actually begin in 2025.

Despite mixed reactions, JoeyVotes shared that WWE is also eyeing Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank for the two-night format, potentially starting in 2026 or 2027. The idea is to give fans more excitement and a bigger experience, which is what JoeyVotes explained.

WWE to host Money in the Bank as a two-night event

Besides the Royal Rumble, WWE is thinking about making another big event, Money in the Bank, into a multi-night show. According to sources on the latest WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is considering making Money in the Bank a two-night event by 2027.

A source also said that one night, they will arrange the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match as the main event, and the very next night, they will arrange the female version of the show.

This idea is similar to the rumored changes to the Royal Rumble, where WWE is also thinking about splitting the men’s and women’s matches into two separate nights.
