WWE Reportedly Ready To Welcome The Possible Return Of CM Punk’s Wife, AJ Lee

Last year, CM Punk’s comeback to Survivor Series generated a lot of hype online, and his appearance almost broke the internet. Fans anticipated that his wife, AJ Lee, would return as his stories became more serious—especially when Drew McIntyre took cruel digs at Punk’s family.

Many believed her return would take the story to new heights, but it never happened. Now, while there are no specific developments that require AJ’s return, reports suggest that WWE is open to welcoming her back.

AJ Lee retired in 2015 due to a cervical spine injury. She made a name for herself in WWE, winning the Divas Championship three times and becoming a key figure in the Women’s Revolution.

WWE is supportive of the idea and is just waiting for Lee to make the decision, according to a recent live Q&A on Backstage Pass with Bill Apter and WrestleVotes. “As far as I know, WWE is totally on board for it. They would welcome it,” said WrestleVotes. “If she picks up the phone and she says, ‘I’m in,’ they’re going to say, ‘Yes. What took so long?'”

While Punk’s wife has not confirmed her return, the possibility has fans buzzing with excitement. Her return would undoubtedly be a nostalgic and thrilling moment for WWE fans who have longed to see her back in the ring.

What CM Punk said about AJ Lee’s return

CM Punk has shared his thoughts on his wife, AJ Lee’s potential return to WWE. During a post-money in the bank press conference, Punk expressed his excitement about the possibility, though he acknowledged that it was unlikely that AJ Lee would return.

He hinted that the decision is entirely up to her, saying, “I appreciate the question. You would have to ask my wife but she’s not here. She’s taking care of Larry. I don’t want to fall in the trap of saying never say never. I think this is a brave new world and I don’t think a lot of people thought I was gonna show up. It’s really all on her”
