WWE Star Cody Rhodes Lists Top 5 Wrestlers, With The Rock And Roman In The List

WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes is set to face Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage match in London. This event marks WWE’s exciting return to the UK, taking place at the new Co-op Live Arena in Manchester.

Before the match, during a media tour, the American Nightmare revealed his top five wrestlers, surprisingly including some of his biggest and latest rivals in the promotion.

In a recent interview with BBC Newsround, Cody Rhodes shared his top five favorite wrestlers. The 39-year-old placed 16-time World Champion John Cena at number one and put Hulk Hogan in second. His father, Dusty Rhodes, claimed the third spot, while WCW legend Sting came in fourth.

Fans were surprised that Roman Reigns didn’t make the top 4 list, especially since much of Cody’s current success is tied to his storyline with the Tribal Chief. It’s true that if WWE didn’t align his storyline with the Bloodline, he wouldn’t be where he is now. However, Cody confronted reality and acknowledged Roman Reigns and The Rock as his number five choices.

Cody Rhodes said, “Alright, top five favorite wrestlers as of today. I would say John Cena, Hulk Hogan, my father Dusty Rhodes, Sting, and then, fifth spot I’m gonna split between The Rock and Roman Reigns.”

Being a babyface in wrestling offers advantages, including the ability to be truthful and honest. If Cody Rhodes had taken on a “heel” role, he probably wouldn’t have been able to add Roman Reigns and The Rock to his list. Cody really knows how to respect and admire his rivals, which makes his character more interesting.

Is Cody Rhodes about to turn heel?

This is a very fascinating question, but it doesn’t seem likely right now. However, given the ongoing development of the Bloodline storyline, which The Rock refers to as the Bloodline Civil War, events could potentially change. There must come a pivotal moment when Roman Reigns challenges for the WWE Undisputed Championship.

With both Roman and Cody being fan favorites, WWE is really going to have a challenge in their hands figuring out who gets to be the true champion. If Roman takes the win, it might just push Cody to fully embrace the heel turn.

However, there’s plenty of excitement ahead of WrestleMania 41, so for the time being, WWE might stick with Rhodes as a good guy.
