He was so happy that he ran down the 152-yard hole immediately. Golf enthusiast “The Baby-Faced Assassin” later said that it was the second time he aced a hole in his life. Against one-time pro tennis player M. Fish, who had a strong second round and later in the competition even momentarily equaled the nine-time NBA All-Star, it allowed Steph some much-needed breathing room.
Curry, though, gave himself more cushion when he parred the 13th hole and then made a massive birdie on the 14th to extend his lead. Curry maintained this advantage for the rest of the day. The last round will air on NBC and Peacock on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
