The verbal spat between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz has already begun in the lead-up to their scheduled boxing match several months away.
Diaz recently took a jab at Paul, accusing him of using steroids, to which the 26-year-old responded by taking a shot back mentioning Conor McGregor, using rather blunt language.
Despite Nate’s involvement in a brawl at a Misfit boxing event, their bout is reportedly still on for August 5 in Dallas. However, Diaz’s actions have raised concerns about his readiness for the fight.
The 38-year-old was caught on camera choking out an alleged attacker and subsequently received an arrest warrant from the New Orleans police department.
Despite the legal troubles surrounding Diaz’s recent street brawl, his team has stated that his upcoming bout against Jake Paul will proceed as planned. However, concerns about Nate’s readiness for the fight persist.
In the meantime, Diaz’s younger brother took a jab at Paul over social media and proposed an updated stipulation for their upcoming bout. In response, the 26-year-old Jake fired back with insults aimed at both Diaz and his longtime rival McGregor.
Escalating the tension between the fighters. As the match draws closer, it remains to be seen how the ongoing verbal altercation will affect their performance in the ring.
Jake Paul takes a dig at Nate
You speaking to me Nathan? We haven’t forgotten that you tested positive for steroids. You and your boyfriend Connor are juice heads.
Let’s do 15 rounds and see how good those cannabis corroded lungs are.
VADA going to be coming to Stockton to slap you up. https://t.co/Q1h0qmzW07

Paul retorted to Diaz’s comments by writing,
“You speaking to me Nathan? We haven’t forgotten that you tested positive for steroids. You and your boyfriend Connor are juice heads.”
With his response, Paul was alluding to Diaz’s previous failure of a USADA test in 2019, which occurred just before his BMF title fight against Jorge Masvidal.
As for the McGregor comment, the Irishman raised eyebrows with his significant muscle gain during his recovery from a leg break, leading some to speculate about possible performance-enhancing substances.
Paul further continued, “Let’s do 15 rounds and see how good those cannabis corroded lungs are.” Finally, he added, “VADA going to be coming to Stockton to slap you up.”
Nate is well-known for his impressive cardiovascular endurance and his use of cannabis. However, Jake seems willing to test Diaz’s limits by proposing an extended bout to see if he still possesses the same level of durability in the ring.
