UFC fighter Marvin “The Italian Dream” Vettori has dissed Conor McGregor for verbally attacking his friend and gym partner, Beneil Dariush.
The row started when McGregor tweeted out an insult to Beneil calling him “the biggest nobody in the UFC”. This irked his teammate, Middleweight contender Marvin Vettori. Vettori defended his friend’s honor on Twitter.

Beneil Dariush is a lightweight contender, in the same division as Conor McGregor. Beneil has been on an impressive win streak recently and has climbed up in the lightweight rankings. He has beaten Tony Ferguson and was set to face Islam Makhachev, but pulled out of the fight at the last minute. There is still speculation as to who Beneil will fight later this year.
This shot from Conor against Beneil came out of the blue and without any provocation. Beneil is a reserved and respectful fighter and does not indulge in trash talk. But Conor on the other hand of the spectrum is loud-mouthed and brash. He has dissed and called out almost any and every fighter in the UFC.
Vettori was clearly angry at Conor’s tweet and even went as far as to threaten him, writing “I’ll see you soon”. Marvin Vettori is also confident that his friend Beneil will be able to beat Conor easily in a fight.
There are slim chances of Conor McGregor and Beneil Dariush fighting, As Conor has a possibility of facing someone at welterweight due to bulking up in recent times.
