Jake Paul is set to face the half-brother of Tyson Fury, Tommy Fury, in the last week of February. Prior to the bout, talking to Rob Moore, TNT revealed that money was the only reason he had taken the fight.
“If you want to slap millions of pounds in front of my face to fight Jake Paul, why am I not going to do that? I’ve got a family to feed now any day – the reason I’ve taken the Jake Paul fight is it’s financially good. There is [a part of me that wants to shut him up] but he doesn’t get underneath my skin like that.”
While asked about the fight fixing in Jake Paul’s bout, Fury replied that he doesn’t know about other fighters’ contracts, but in his, there was nothing like that mentioned.
“I don’t know. I’m not there on negotiations [for other fighters]. I don’t see the contract. I don’t know. But there’s nothing in my contract for the two previous fights that were scheduled. There was nothing like that. You couldn’t pay me a trillion pounds to take a dive. Money’s not my god. Money’s nice— it makes the world go round, but it’s not everything.”
Hold your horses. The man’s having a baby.

However, it was reported that the British fighter is expecting a baby with his girlfriend Molly Mae Hague, and after a cryptic tweet from Jake Paul, fans are now concerned about the future of their upcoming bout.
Prior to the February fight, this pair was supposed to meet twice in their careers: the first time in August 2021, when the Brit couldn’t enter the US due to his brother’s involvement with the mafia, and the second time in December 2021, when Fury was ruled out with a rib injury.
