“You just can’t continue” Oleksandr Usyk makes a shocking revelation that explains how he came to be known as “The Cat”

Oleksander Usyk, who is the former undisputed cruiserweight champion, has recently defeated Anthony Joshua by a split decision. After that fight, he became the unified heavyweight champion.

With a 65% knockout ratio in 20 boxing appearances, the Ukrainian never left the ring without stealing the victory. Usyk knows how to push the boundaries to become a beast; he trains so hard to be victorious in the ring. In recent interview the Champion stated,

“To change yourself. If you want to be victorious, you have to do more than you got used to do during your training sessions. You have to become Elon Mask in boxing. “

The Olympic boxing gold winner reveals the journey to becoming one of the most successful professional boxers. He always pushed himself for extreme training; non-stop 10 km swimming was one of them. This 35 year old boxer shared his experience of that training,

“All these challenges are hard such as 10km of swimming for example. You’re swimming and suddenly you feel such a pain in your knee and you think you can’t go, you just can’t continue. A muscle’s so tense and the pain’s just unbearable. The pain is in your shoulder, you knee or even the tips of your mustache”

The Champion also revealed he had once fainted underwater after an extreme training session, his coaches were nearby and they rescued him quickly. His dedication, passion and hard training had made him the Oleksander “The Cat” Usyk today.

The current 6th best fighter irrespective of the weight class, will be next seen in the mandatory title defending match of The ring heavyweight title or in the first mandatory title defending match of WBO heavyweight title against the young talent Joe Joyce.
